- Several years of professional (non-internship) software development experience
- Several years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Substantial experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience of JavaScript frameworks, ReactJS preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a relevant experience.
- Experience with Agile (SCRUM, RUP, XP), OO modeling, web services
- Designing and implementing solutions to ambiguous complex problems
- Building new tools utilizing internal and external services
- Vertical slice development
- Agile development
- Design and familiarity with noSQL databases like DynamoDB or MongoDB, DynamoDB is preferred.
- Experience mentoring and training the engineering community on complex technical issues
- Experience in building complex software systems, especially services

As an SDE in Pyxis you will be working alongside some of the brightest engineers in the company responsible for developing and supporting some of our biggest internal and external tools. You will get exposure to many different technologies and Greenfield Software projects enabling you to input in the design of brand new tools.
Our work is extremely varied and often includes breaking ground on new ways of working for the whole company. Our backlog covers a number of different projects at any one time and employ agile methods to remain obsessed with our customers.

As a new and growing team we work we have autonomy to define ourselves both in terms of technology and ways of working. We are heavily invested in developing a cohesive team that adapts with input from everyone.
